Behavioural Counselling

Helping you discover the root cause of your pet's unwanted behaviours.

Trying to curb your pet’s behaviours without professional help can be frustrating. It’s no wonder that about 15% of pet owners have problems controlling their loyal companions. Even if your pet doesn’t have behaviour issues, they can still benefit from behaviour counselling. Our counselling program is designed to detect if your pet’s issues are due to health problems and recommend techniques and treatments that can change your pet’s bad habits.

How do I determine if my pet is just naughty or needs counselling?

By nature, some pets may be a bit naughty, but you’ll know they need counselling when their behaviours put them in harm's way. Sometimes those same behaviours can become a danger to other animals and people. Another indication is if your pet’s behaviour disrupts your life in a negative way.

What behaviours may indicate that my pet needs behavioural therapy?

Your pet’s behaviours may stem from anxiety, trauma, or even health issues. With counselling we try to understand what is causing them to do the following:

1.    Aggressiveness towards other pets or loved ones
2.    Always pacing, hiding, or licking themselves
3.    Peeing excessively
4.    Loss of appetite
