Our Policies

We operate primarily by appointment to allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures. Urgent cases at Cavan Hills Veterinary Services shall always receive top priority which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. 
New clients should complete the New Client Form prior to their appointment. 

Payment Options

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit and cash.

A deposit is required for all patients being admitted to hospital for diagnostics, treatments and surgical procedures.


Financing Options

Cavan Hills Vet accepts financing from iFinance Canada Petcard. This is a third-party financing company that offers an array of veterinary finance programs to assist you and your pet.  Simple applications can be completed online or over the phone. Financing must be finalized by Petcard prior to services being rendered.

Pet Insurance

At Cavan Hills Veterinary Services, we have seen first-hand the benefits of pet insurance. Therefore, we work with several pet insurance providers to ensure that unforeseen illnesses and accidents do not need to be a financial burden. We recommend pet insurance to all of our clients. Pet Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area.  All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier.  

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings, and other pets. This is one of the reasons we may ask you or one of our staff members to help to restrain your pet.
