Dr. Maser graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1986. He purchased Cavan Hills Veterinary Services in 1995 as a farmhouse and transformed and renovated the entire building into what is now a highly successful veterinary hospital. His hobbies are gardening, traveling and working around his home farm "Meadowview" where he is owned by his 11 retired horses, his donkey "Jose", 8 dogs, 16 fish and many cats. Dr. Maser shares his life with Laura and their four children Ashley, Mandi, Sam and Hanna.
Dr. Chouinard graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) and then pursued a degree in veterinary medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. She is a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association, and has been practicing veterinary medicine at Cavan Hills Veterinary Services (CHVS) since 2010. At CHVS, Dr. Chouinard enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, especially emergency medicine and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, hiking and downhill skiing. Dr. Chouinard lives at home with her husband, Paul, their two dogs (Sierra and Nicki) and 3 cats (Hope, Eskimo, and Mya).
Dr. Chiu graduated from the University of Toronto with a BSc. in Zoology and then went to Australia to complete her degree in Veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2012 and joined the CHVS team in April 2013. Dr. Chiu has a strong interest in exotic and wildlife medicine. In her free time she enjoys crocheting, reading, yoga, baking and relaxing with her friends and family. Dr. Chiu lives at home with her husband, Gannon, 2 cats (Godzilla and King Kong) and their daughter Ella.
Veterinary medicine is a second career for David Good. He received a PhD in Zoology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985 and worked there as the collections manager in herpetology at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology from then until 1990. From 1990 until 1996 he was an assistant professor of zoology at Louisiana State University and in 1996 he decided to switch careers and enrolled in the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduating he has worked as a veterinarian in New Brunswick, Kentucky, British Columbia, and now is happily ensconced at Cavan Hills.
John Bartlett started University in the agriculture program in the University of Guelph. His love of animals influenced him in to pursuing a career in Veterinary medicine. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2008 and currently lives on his 200 acre farm north of Lindsay. His areas of interest include emergency medicine, critical care and exotic medicine. He continues to further his knowledge in veterinary medicine through continued education. He enjoys the outdoors including camping, fishing and climbing. He is also an avid reader of fantasy novels. He spends much of his free time with his daughter in his outdoor activities when she is off from high school in the summer.
You can also catch him at most reptile expo's around the GTA and the occasional livestock auction looking to add to his collection of animals.
Dr. Bahlmann graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science, and pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC). She graduated from OVC in 2015, and joined the team at CHVS shortly after. Dr. Bahlmann enjoys many areas of veterinary medicine, but harbours a strong interest in feline medicine, internal medicine and ophthalmology. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, skiing, camping and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Bahlmann shares her home with her 5 cats; Joey, Chloe, Scruffy, Lizzy and Strider.
Dr. Sabrina Cirone started working in the veterinary field as a vet assistant in high school. Since then she has pursued her passion to practice veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology in 2011 and later graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2015.
Dr. Cirone has a strong interest in surgery, dentistry, ultrasound, and exotic/wildlife medicine. She shares her home with a 16 year old Sonoran Gopher snake, a 15 year old Western Hognose snake, 2 adopted Leopard Geckos and her hyperactive but loveable dog, Mushu.
When not working at Cavan Hills Vet Services, Dr. Cirone enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, and travelling. On her days off, she can be found volunteering at the Toronto Wildlife Centre.
Dr. Li graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Biological Sciences in 2011. Four years later, he graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Dr. Li joined the team at Cavan Hills Veterinary Services in April of 2016. He has a particular interest in radiology.
During his free time, Dr. Li enjoys spending time with his dog Monti, a Golden Retriever. As well, he enjoys being around family and friends when not spending time with Monti. He has an interest in swimming and archery too.
Dr. Andrée Morin graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology. She then pursued a career in veterinary medicine and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2017. Dr. Morin enjoys many different aspects of veterinary medicine, and harbours special interests in soft tissue surgery, cardiology and clinical nutrition. In her free time she enjoys playing hockey, skiing, swimming, spending time with friends and family, and cuddling her two cats Daphne and Rolo.
Dr. Kassandra Young attended the University of Guelph for her undergraduate degree in Biomedical science. She was then accepted to the Ontario Veterinary College and after graduating started her career at Cavan Hills Veterinary Services. Her special interests include preventative medicine, surgery and wildlife medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, running, swimming and traveling.
Dr. Emma Delitala grew up on a farm near Grand Bend, Ontario and has been caring for various pets and farm animals for as long as she can remember. She attended the University of Guelph for her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Science majoring in zoology. She then attended veterinary school at the Ontario Veterinary College and graduated with honours in 2017. Emma's special interests include community medicine, surgery, and dermatology. She is very excited to be joining the CHVS team and living in the Peterborough area with all it has to offer! In her spare time, Emma enjoys playing soccer, playing the piano, and just about everything active and outdoors.
